NFL announces that Ravens CB Asa Jackson has been suspended 8 games without pay for violating NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.
This is the second time that the NFL has disciplined Jackson. In December 2012, Jackson was suspended four games without pay for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.
With the loss of Cary Williams in the off-season to the Philadelphia Eagles, Jackson had hoped to compete for more playing time. Facing an 8 game suspension, Jackson will likely be relegated to the bench if he makes the team.
